TAHFH is collecting used hearing aids, including broken ones, pieces, and parts. Kristen Brown, missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, will take the hearing aids to Palestine where they will be repaired and given out to those who have suffered hearing loss due to combat and bombings.
TAHFH is also collecting used eyeglasses. Optometry students at Northeastern State University College of Optometry will clean, repair, measure, and replace lenses, if needed. Student Volunteer Optometry Services to Humanity (SVOSH) take the donated glasses to Honduras, where they are distributed following an eye exam.
Hearing aid and eyeglasses may be dropped off at any one of the below three locations:
ReStore Home Improvement Store
17165 West Mud Valley Road (corner of Mud Valley Road and the West By-Pass)
12 Plaza South (across from the Tag Office)
816 S. College Avenue (corner of First and College Ave.)
